Salinas is a city in the province Santa Elena. It is a popular city among tourists, because of the beautiful beaches and pleasant climate. Ten minutes from this city is Punta Carnero beach located which is 1.6 miles long with white to gray sand and medium waves. This beach is famous for its surfing possibilities where many international surf competitions have taken place.
