A live-aboard trip is the best possibility to explore the amazing underwater world in the Galapagos Islands. Normally these trips last for at least 8 days and 2-3 immersions per day will be made. Land visits are made sporadically as well, which enables you to enjoy the miracles of the Islands´ flora and fauna. Night dives are also an option! Please make sure to book with enough time ahead your trip (at least a couple of months) as live-aboards may be fully booked in a short time (as with many Galapagos naturalist cruises).
There are several yachts that sail these live-aboards, the Agressor, the Sky Dancer and the Mistral and the Lammer Law. All of these yachts are first class. If you wish to receive more information about these yachts, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
We offer many different itineraries on different yachts. Also we have a wide choice in diving sites. Some diving sites are for beginners and others for intermediates and experts. All live-aboards including Darwin and Wolf are only recommended for intermediate and advanced divers with experience in strong currents and 6-7mm wet suit.
During the dives you can see reef sharks, Galapagos sharks, hammerhead sharks, giant mantas, golden mantas, eagle rays, sea turtles, marine iguanas, marine wolves, fur seals, a great diversity of reef fish, invertebrates and a great diversity of endemic fish.
Insurance and safety
There is no insurance included in the programs and we highly recommend all divers to have their DAN (Divers Alert Network) insurance before going to the Galapagos (cost per year for Standard Insurance $69 US and for Master Insurance $79 US including the annual membership). We recommend bringing a dive alert whistle and a scuba tube.
